If you don't already have these Ball Python books, or one of our PE Temp Guns, we STRONGLY suggest picking them up for your collection. These are MUST HAVES! The $80 VPI- Barker Ball python book covers all aspects of husbandry and breeding, it is absolutely positively, a MUST HAVE for your herper library. It is the current literary reference for captive snake breeding. The $60 Complete Ball Python book covers every aspect of snake husbandry, from setup, temps, feeding, breeding, genetics and more. The $11 Ball Pythons in Captivity is a more condensed version of that book. You must have AT LEAST the $11 title. There are other affordable "pet shop" Ball Python books out there, including the Ball Python Manual. They are at best incomplete, and at worst filled with dangerous info, they should NOT be considered a substitute for these two state of the art titles.

The PE-1 Temp Gun at $25 is the MOST IMPORTANT HUSBANDRY TOOL you can have. Proper temps in your setup are absolutely essential, and PE Temp Guns are the most reliable, accurate, and economical way to establish and monitor your temperatures. Dials, color strips, and similar junk are no substitute for an Infrared Temperature Gun.

A lazy keeper looking for disposable animals won't care about the above "tools". A dedicated passionate hobbyist and breeder would consider them to be absolute essentials. Do yourself, and your animals, a huge favor and pick up these books, a temp gun, and the other essentials listed on our reptile Pro Packs! We want to ensure your enjoyment and success, but it takes committment from both sides!

It seems you can never breed enough Ball Pythons! One of the all time favorite starter snakes, Balls make a great addition to any collection. We have both PE bred babies and farm hatched babies, and we put more work into our animals than any one else in the country! We guarantee our animals to be strong, healthy, and feeding, all important criteria when selecting a baby Ball Python. Don't get suckered by the mass of hustlers out there selling half dead (or fully dead) Ball Python babies each season, get a terrific animal from a real breeder, and someone that really knows what they are doing!

The Ghost/Hypo Ball python is not only beautiful on its own, but is a key genetic contributor to many FANTASTIC morph combos. Simple recessive Ghosts are a terrific project!

The Pro Exotics line is an "Orange Ghost", but with no known relation to other established lines. We purchased an entire Ghost clutch from Afrika many many years ago, and we have had great success with our PE Ghosts. We have never had or heard of compatibility issues with mainstream Ghost lines.

We have been working with Boelen's pythons for over a decade. While one of the most beautiful pythons in the world, they are also one of the rarest to breed in captivity.

We started our groups with captive hatched babies- babies hatched from wild caught females that laid eggs in captivity. We have a gorgeous group, and we continue to push forward with our breeding efforts, but we do have one too many males.

This terrific male is 9 ft of lustery, iridescent velvety black goodness, perfectly tame, a terrific eater, and like the rest of our group, raised here at PE since hatching 5 years ago.

This young male would make a terrific addition to a Boelen's project, but he would also make the ULTIMATE in a pet or display python.
